Adventure seekers are in luck! In July 2019, Close is transporting its staff to the Himalayas.

Close is launching a major project this year – organising a trek over the Ladakh plateau, the Tibet of India.

Staff were told of the project in an announcement in September 2018. After an information session and a morning walking in the Ardennes hills organised for those who wanted to test their mettle on longer hikes, around thirty people signed up.

The idea behind this project goes beyond an Alpine adventure. By organising this trip, the company hopes to build lasting cohesion between its teams.

A detailed two-week schedule has already been drawn up, which sees the trekkers arriving in Delhi on 12 July 2019 and travelling by road to Leh, the capital of Ladakh. That is where the hike will begin, lasting 10 days until the climb up Stok Kangri, which culminates at over 6000 metres of altitude. This last stage, the pinnacle of the journey, will of course be reserved for only the most adventurous walkers.
